Our Aims and Objectives

We aim to:

 

  • Work towards equal opportunities in terms of improving policies, procedures, practices, recruitment, retention, and career development within West Midlands Police to ensure that all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered employees are treated fairly.

  • Offer support in a totally confidential manner.

  • Work towards improving relations between West Midlands Police and the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered communities.

  • Work towards creating an improved working environment to enable lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered employees feel more comfortable at work.

 

It is not the policy of the forum that any employee should be open about their sexuality.

This will always remain a personal decision.

 

Any details of meetings and social events will be made available to members only. The purpose of these will be to provide a network facility and discuss issues affecting individual employees.
